Exercise is a good for your brain. Some newer research is also showing that combining speech practice with movement or exercise is also a great way to improve your skills and keep your brain healthy. That’s why we’re inviting you to a special event on Friday, May 11 at 10 am, called Work Out Your Words.

Work Out Your Words is a Stroke Survivor Fitness Class that synchronizes speech and movements. Watch a video demonstration here. We’ll be joining other aphasia centers and groups around the country for a specially offered class, thanks to Lingraphica and the Stroke Comeback Center.

The event is being offered during National Stroke Awareness Month and Better Speech and Hearing Month. We’re offering the program in two locations, St Petersburg and Dunedin. After the work out, share a healthy lunch and enjoy conversation and social support.

It’s a great day to get healthy! We’ll see you there!
