Voices of Hope for Aphasia Founder's Award 2015Nominations are now open for the second annual Founder’s award, a chance to recognize any person with aphasia, family member, or professional who has made an extraordinary contribution to aphasia advocacy. Voices of Hope for Aphasia wishes to recognize someone who is a leader in one or more areas of its own mission:

  • fostering success in groups,
  • helping family and friends,
  • or educating the community about aphasia.

Last year’s awardee was Carol Dow-Richards, of the Aphasia Recovery Connection, who was honored for co-leading aphasia groups, organizing workshops and meetings for family members of people with aphasia, and raising awareness of aphasia.

If you know someone who exemplifies the mission of Voices of Hope, send your nomination by email, video, or letter. Include the nominee’s name and a description of their contributions. Nominations must be submitted by May 15, 2016.

  • Send email to: info@vohaphasia.org

The winner will be announced in June and will be honored at a Gala Reception on September 30, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Florida, at our conference featuring Dr. Audrey Holland.

Any person with aphasia, family, friend, or professional is eligible for nomination. Voices of Hope board members, executive director, and founders are not eligible.
