  5. What is aphasia? Find out on...

Voices of Hope for Aphasia is pleased to announce a new, one-day program, “What is aphasia?” This program is open to people with aphasia, family members, and friends. We’ll answer your questions, like:

  • Why can I say a word in the morning and then I can’t say it later in the day?
  • Is depression associated with aphasia?
  • Do I need to re-learn the alphabet so I can read or write again?
  • How long should I let the person with aphasia struggle to say what he/she wants to say?

You’ll receive a notebook with materials and resources to take home with you. In addition, the schedule offers time for you to talk with others in the same situation.

Here’s what we’ll do during this one-day program.
